Pierre van der Hoven
In 2018 Pierre wrote a research report for the SA Government on the economic potential of cannabis and hemp for South Africa, after which he started a number of Cannabis companies including AfriCannaBiz (Eastern Cape Cultivator), SilverLeaf Investments (Venture Capital Fund), Baobab Training (AgriSETA accredited Training) and Baobab International, a consulting company. Pierre was also a founding member of an industry organisation called ACIA - African Cannabis Industry Association.

He also holds various board and advisory seats for multiple private companies and NGOs, and currently represents (via BUSA), coordinates the national private sector constituency on the South African National Cannabis Masterplan Committee.
